MARGARET RYAN
Margaret Elizabeth Ryan (Bowen), 81, of Martins Ferry, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 19, 1939 in Bridgeport, Ohio, daughter of the late William John and Helen Blanche Bowen. Marge was a 1957 Bridgeport High School graduate. Marge worked at Clevite for over 25 years before working at Stein- Palmer Printing, where she retired in 2010. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Martins Ferry. She was a member the Pine Valley Sportsman Club.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Ryan, one brother, William Bowen Jr, one sister, Betty Beall.; her brother-in-law Carl (Peg) Ryan, and her sisters- in-law-Donna (Hanks) Hanks and Gerrie (Al) Mohney Leach.
Surviving are her children Charles Edward Ryan, Beth Ann Stein, Brenda (Tom) Lee Palmer and her sister Dorothy (Don) Woodward and brother in law Willis (Vera) Mohney; Her grandchildren Christin (Jarin) Robinson, Trista (David) Wolen, Kerith (Chad) Palmer, Thomas (Lauren) Palmer, Hondo (Breanne) Palmer. Great grand grandchildren Josh Robinson, Alena Robinson, William Robinson, Tayson Palmer, Avani Palmer, Ryan Palmer. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins that Marge loved.
Also surviving is Marge’s 10-year-old dachshund, Hynes. Hynes was Marge’s best friend and loyal companion. Her favorite thing was to feed him snacks and take naps with him. If she wasn’t feeding him from her plate, she would be telling him how handsome and perfect he was.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11AM at Holly Memorial Garden Mausoleum, 73360 Pleasant Grove Road, Colerain, OH 43916. Immediately following, a post memorial reception will be held at First Christian Church in at 710 S Zane Hwy, Martins Ferry, OH.
