CHARLES LOVELL

Charles Lewis Lovell, 81, of Sonoma, California, passed away on January 27, 2021 after a valiant battle with Lung Cancer.

Chuck was born on March 4th, 1939 to Dorothy Beck and Francis Lovell in Martins Ferry, Ohio. After graduating from Warren Consolidated High School, he went on to study electronics.

After marrying his high school sweetheart (Barb) in 1959, the young couple moved to Los Angeles, where Chuck began working as an installer for Pacific Bell. He moved into management and was with Pacific Bell, then AT&T, then Lucent for a career in telecommunications that lasted 37 years. Chuck and Barbara raised three boys together in Southern California, later moving to Northern California where Chuck retired. During retirement he enjoyed planning and caring for a robust vegetable garden, cooking and playing chess. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a very dedicated grandfather. Chuck and Barbara moved to Cogir of Sonoma, a retirement community, in June of 2020.

Charles is survived by his wife Barbara of Sonoma, California, his brother, Gerald (Janet) Lovell of Rayland, Ohio, his sons, Gregory of Salem, Oregon, Matthew (Elizabeth) of Vancouver, Washington and Jeffrey (Cynthia) of Larkspur, California, and his three grandchildren, Elissa, Nicholas and Zo’.
