MARION HORNE JR.

Marion E. Horne Jr., 77, best known as Papa, residing in Milan, passed away Sunday afternoon June 20, 2021 at home.

Marion was born on October 18, 1943 in Mannington, West Virginia to Marion E. and Olive (Yoho) Horne Sr.

Marion retired from the Sandusky Ford Motor Company in 2000, after 25 years of service as a Manufacturing Engineer. In his spare time, he enjoyed motorcycles, ATV’s, tools, fishing, golfing, was an avid online shopper, and was always involved with family interests. Above all, Marion enjoyed time with his grandchildren.

Marion is survived by his wife, Linda (Scheele) Horne whom he married on September 12, 1970; mother, Olive Horne of Washington, PA; daughters, Janice (Joe) Fisher of Norwalk, Jeanette (Chad) Axford of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Jack (Alissa) Fisher, Makenna (Josh Laser) Fisher, Elisabeth Axford and Brady Axford; brother, Paul (Caroll) Horne of Madison, OH., two sisters- in-law Bonnie Scheele and Barbara Bertleff both of Kirtland, OH., two nephews, and other relatives.

Marion is preceded in death by his father Marion E. Horne Sr. and his sister Nancy Pauley.

Private Family Services will be held and conducted at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
