JESSIE SMYTH
On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, Jessie Lendon Smyth passed on at the age of 82. Jessie was born on March 15, 1939, on Buttermilk Valley Family Farm in Ohio, to parents Wilbur Fisk Lendon and Mary Elizabeth Lendon.
She was a graduate of Ruth Brant school of professional nursing in Martins Ferry, Ohio and practiced nursing for several years. Jessie married her late husband Warren Claire Smyth on June 12, 1965, in Tempe, Arizona. They raised one son and two daughters, Scott Smyth, Elisa Smyth, and Jennifer Smyth Bohannon. Jessie (known as Grammy) enjoyed reading, being outside gardening, planting flowers, and photography.
Jessie is preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, two brothers; husband, Warren Claire Smyth; and son, Scott Smyth. Jessie is survived by her brother, George Edward Lendon; sister, Martha Elizabeth Lendon; two daughters, Elisa Marie Smyth and Jennifer Smyth Bohannon (Philip); three grandchildren, Buddy White (Luisa); Ashton Schultz; and Cathy White; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas.
