DOLORES SMOLIRA

On November 29, 2021, Dolores Smolira, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away at the age of 83. She was born December 22, 1937 in Blaine, Ohio to the late Walter and Mary Ciolczyk.

Also preceding her in death were brothers, Walter and Joseph Ciolczyk.

She will forever be remembered by her loving husband of 66 years, Harry Smolira of Flushing; daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Prager; son, Garry (Jo Ann) Smolira; grandchildren, Michael and Daniel Smolira; great-grandchildren, Chaela, Alivia, and Kennedy Jo; sister, Helen Racker; and brother, Edward Namyslosky.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Dolores was a kindhearted person whose faith led her daily life. She taught her family kindness and the importance of giving. She was an avid bowler and dog groomer. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Lafferty for many years and most recently, a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption Catholic Church, 306 W. Main Street, Barnesville, Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Father Dave Cornett presiding. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty.
