RICHARD FOWKES
Richard A. Fowkes, 60, of Bethesda, Ohio passed away at his home on April 18, 2022. He was born in Bellaire, Ohio to Ruth (Sole) Fowkes and the late Harold Fowkes.
Rick was an avid hunter, lifelong member of the NRA and served as vice president of the ‘Belmont County Friends of the NRA.’ He worked as an autobody technician for 46 years before retiring and running his own business, Rick’s Media Blasting.
Papa, as he was affectionately called by his grandkids, loved spending time with his family and watching his grandkids grow.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Kathy Fowkes; two sons, Dustin (Mallory) Fowkes, Dylan (Katie) Fowkes; seven grandchildren, Julia, Keaton, Elliot, Genevieve, Emarie, Leah, Connor; a brother, Robert (Donna) Fowkes; and sister, Brenda (Morris) Fowkes plus several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to visit Friday, April 22 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 N. Main St., Bethesda, Ohio. On Saturday, April 23, visitation will be at the chapel from 11am to time of funeral service at 12pm. Minister Adam Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Friends Cemetery in Quaker City, Ohio.
