PHYLLIS SUTTON
Phyllis Jean Kahl Sutton, 89, from Zanesville, Ohio, formerly from Bellaire, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 6 p.m. on July 1, 2022 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Phyllis was born August 9, 1932 in Bellaire, Ohio to the late Pauline and William Kahl.
Phyllis was a home- maker and caretaker for a good part of her life taking care of her mother, Pauline Kahl; father, William Kahl; mother-in-law, Virginia Sutton; and her late husband, William R. Sutton.
Phyllis loved her family and was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, William J. Sutton (Michelle Walling Sutton) of Martins Ferry; her daughter, Beth Ann Sutton Prati (Steve Prati) of Zanesville, Ohio; her wonderful grandchildren of whom she was very proud, Joe Prati (Abby Wetherell Prati), Lauren Prati Wells (Richie Wells), Marcus Sutton and Chloe and Hayley Sutton. Phyllis is also survived by four wonderful great-grandchildren, Quentin Wells, Giavanna Wells, Owen Prati and Miles Prati.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Kahl; her father, William Kahl; sister, Patty Shaw; her brother, William Kahl; and her husband of 62 years, William R Sutton.
Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private family service will be held in her honor. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Greenwood Cemetery.
