CHARLOTTE PAVLOVIC

Charlotte Louise Pavlovic, 86, of Dillonvale was called Home on Thursday, August 18, 2022, her family joined in love and prayer around her.

She was born on March 22, 1936, in Dillonvale, Ohio, daughter of the late Clarence and Genevieve Merkel.

Charlotte was a 1954 graduate of Dillonvale High School. A cheerleader and majorette, she’d recount standing on the sidelines cheering for the man she knew she’d spend forever with star player and love of her life, Ron Pavlovic.

Together they built a life they loved. A house atop the tallest hill in Dillonvale – the best for sled riding and always elaborately decorated for Christmas – that hosted countless birthdays, holidays, baptisms and graduations; a table filled with cups of tea, trays of Schwann pizzas, plates of Doritos and an assortment of bakery always the focal point.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by brothers, William and Andrew Merkel.

Surviving are Charlotte’s husband of 67 years, Ron; daughters, Cindy (Ed) Richards of Dillonvale and Ronee (Rich) Playko of Columbus; son, Kurt of Columbus; sister, Ethel (John) Todoroff of Dillonvale; brother, Joseph (Phyllis) of Virginia; five grandchildren, Matt Roshak of Columbus, Tara Richards of Pittsburgh, Brandi (Jade) Waligura of Colerain, Halli (Keegan) Driscoll of Pensacola, and Will Pavlovic of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; and two great- grandchildren, one of which is her namesake, Charlotte and Eloise Driscoll of Pensacola.

Family and friends will be welcomed at Wilson Funeral Home – 154 2nd St. in Dillonvale – on Tuesday, August 23 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain.
