DAVID PONZANI
David Ponzani, age 89, of North Canton, passed away on Wednesday September 14, 2022. He was born January 25, 1933 in St. Clairsville Ohio the 5th child to Carmela and Patsy Ponzani from Perugia Italy.
He graduated St. Clairsville high school in 1950. Entering the Army he was deployed to Korea during the Korean conflict. Upon completion of his service he attended Ohio State University graduating in 1960 with a Ceramic Engineering Degree and obtained employment with Republic Steel in Cleveland in Research and Development where he obtained two patents. Moving to Canton in 1973 he started his own accounting business where he enjoyed a much more leisurely lifestyle including fishing, gardening and a love for golf. He married Doris (Imboden) in 1995 acquiring an instant family where mutual love grew. David’s gentle and kind spirit permeated his very being directing his actions, as did his belief in God.
The burial will be Monday September 19, 2022 at 12 Noon. St. Clairsville Union Cemetary 221 Maple Ave. St. Clairsville Ohio. There will be a Military burial service.
