CAROL PAULSEN

She was born in Kokomo, Indiana, December 16, 1938, the daughter of the late Jack and Lila Lee (Brandtner) Bernhardt.

Carol graduated from Wheeling High School, class of 1956 and organized the class reunions and kept the stats. She retired from the office of Dr. Angelo Georges in Wheeling, WV. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Martins Ferry, a member of the Ladies of St. Mary’s Club, Funeral Luncheon Committee, Greeter and Junior Citizens. She also volunteered at St. Vincent’s De Paul Thrift store in Wheeling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Chad Burns and her sister, Shirley Jagaczewski.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Jack Paulsen, three daughters, Cindy (Mike) Burns of Martins Ferry, Cristy (Buzz) Frakowski of St. Clairsville and Cathy (Kurt) Pesta of York, PA. Seven grandchildren, Kara Canter, Katie Sipe, Brett Frakowski, Brady Frakowski, Brice Frakowski, Parker and Palmer Pesta, five great-grandchildren; Korynne, Josalyn, and Adelyn Canter, Eleanor and Henry Sipe, nephew; Edward Jagaczewski of Wheeling.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 5-7pm at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated Friday, October 14, 2022, at 10AM at St. Mary Church, with Fr. Thomas Marut and Fr. Thomas Magary co-officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Church in Martins Ferry or St. Jude’s Hospital in memory of Carol.
