CYNTHIA SIMPSON
Cynthia Lynn Simpson, 69 of Martins Ferry passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV. She was born July 9, 1953, the daughter of Jennie (Josefczyk) Hritz and the late Edward Hritz.
She was a 1971 graduate of St. John Central High School in Bellaire and a 1973 graduate of Jefferson Technical Institute as a Dental Assistant.
Cynthia had a 33-year career working for State Farm Insurance Agency in Customer Service and Sales (Bob McCoy, Linda Smith, Lorri Grisell and Dan Stephens).
Cynthia enjoyed sewing, quilting, machine embroidering and crafting, in general.
Cynthia’s life eternally impacted her family. She is now resting with her Lord and savior and we’re thankful to know we will see her again one day. All who knew her were abundantly blessed.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 47 years David Simpson, their sons; Jeffery (Michelle) Simpson, Bradley (Kerri) Simpson and Derek (Amanda) Simpson, grandchildren; Lillian, Adeline, Myles, Kendyl and Keegan Simpson, sister; Denise (Rick) Kedward and several nieces, nephews and cousins complete the family.
Family and friends will be welcomed at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St, Sunday, October 23 from 6-8 and Monday, October 24, 2022, from 9:30 till 10:45 at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, burial to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with Fr. Thomas Marut officiating.
