Growing up with Butch was always an experience, Butch walked the fence of life with as much gusto as anyone, dipping his toes on the ornery side as much as the angelic side. In kindergarten (Cambridge), he found himself sent home from school for tripping the teacher and then there would be times he had to be separated from another boy as they were throwing punches at each other and rolling around in the bushes of some yard on the way home from school. Then on the other side of the fence of life, he would always be available to ride his beloved Harley in a Poker Run to help raise money for someone or something. His crowning moment was the the effort he put into playing a very real Santa for many children for many years using his own money to purchase a small gift for each child. He was the Santa that rode in the Christmas Parade at St. Louisville and Utica.
Butch loved driving trucks, riding his Harley, drinking beer with friends at the Eagles, bowling, eating homemade ice cream and mom’s cabbage rolls. He also loved car races and could hear the sounds of the racing cars at the Daytona Beach Speedway from his home.
Plans for Butch are still being formulated though he will be cremated.
In remembrance of our brother Butch, please say a prayer and raise a beer.
