CAROL WODARCYK

Carol Gay Vaglienti Wodarcyk 83 of Hartville, Ohio [formerly of Adena, OH] went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 24, 2022. Carol peacefully passed surrounded by love, while under the compassionate care of Crossroads Hospice.

She was born Dec. 6, 1938, in Bellaire, Ohio. The daughter of Robert Juno Vaglienti and Hilda Marie Hadley Vaglienti.

Carol was a proud 1959 graduate of The Ruth Brant School of Nursing Martins Ferry, Ohio who was dedicated to helping those in need throughout her life with love and stamina beyond measure. Also volunteered assisting innumerable organizations and loved ones from family, church, community, to outreach programs.

Her favorite pastimes included spending time with loved ones, bible studies, sewing, crocheting, cake decoration, cooking, stain glass, puzzles, and artwork. She found solitude in being with the Lord in her garden.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her loving husband Pete F. Wodarcyk Sr., a sister Joan Blanton, a brother-in-law, Bruce Ruckman, and daughter in law Ruth McCormick Wodarcyk.

Carol is survived by her three children Pete Jr. [Melinda], Robert J., and Gay Lynn [Daniel] Melendez; two sisters Ellen [Edward] Oboy, Jane Ruckman, two brothers Al [Char] Vaglienti, Robert [Theresa] Vaglienti; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and an extra special lifelong friend Sandy Foster.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Visitation will be held again at Mt. Pleasant Evangelical Friends Church on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Matt Close officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.

Carol’s family is requesting any memorial contributions be made to organizations of your choice that assist in healing.
