CATHERINE BELL

Catherine was a retired receptionist for the Wheeling YWCA, and an accomplished musician, mastering many different musical instruments. She was the organist for the Rayland Presbyterian Church, Glen Robbins Presbyterian Church, Yorkville Methodist Church, and the Rayland Methodist Church. Upon moving to Grove City with her son she joined the Grove City Presbyterian Church. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, was a member of the Eastern Star and the Rayland Fire Department Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Elwin L. “Gus “Bell in 2009, daughter- in-law Jenny, brother Donald B. Tanley

Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Alan (Janet) Bell of Rayland, Tim (Barb) Bell of Grove City, and Gary Bell of Mt. Pleasant, eight grandchildren; Tim (Angie) Bell, Bill (Nicole) Bell, Brian(Amanda) Bell, Clayton Bell, Chris (Rena) Bell, Cavin Bell, Tammy (Mike) Wilt, Kristin (Jake) Marker, eleven great- grandchildren; Eli, Brody, Lukas, Leigh, Grant and Camden Bell, Harmony Woodland, Maddie Smith and Wyatt Marker, Madison and Mason Wilt, brothers; Edgar (Carol) Tanley and Jim Tanley.

Family and friends will be received Friday, November 4, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wilson Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. Eastern Star Services will be Friday, at 7:00pm in the funeral home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 10am at the Rayland Methodist Church, with Rev. Tom Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
