DONALD GRIFFITHS
Donald D. Griffiths 91, of Ferry View Rd., Martins Ferry passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 3, 1931, the son of the late William and Gladys (William) Griffiths.
Donald was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel – Martins Ferry Plant, shipping Department. He was veteran of the Marine Corp, Korean Conflict, a member of the American Legion Post #38-Martins Ferry, Bridgeport Eagles and the United Steel Workers of America-Local #1238.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Eileen Griffiths in 2020, siblings, William, Betty, Jack, and Frank Griffiths.
Left to cherish his memory are his children; Cathy (William) Burgess of St. Clairsville, Donna Mayberry of Zanesville, Lori (Eric) Campsey of Canton, grandchildren; Annie (Sean) Freese, Ryan (Elisha) Mayberry, Clayton Mayberry (Emilie Brosnan), Kaylyn Mayberry (Cody Drummonds), Haley and Owen Campsey, great granddaughter; Kylee Freese, sister; Verneice McAninch and many special nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 10 till time of service at 1pm at the Wilson Funeral Home-Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935. Military Honors will be presented by the Belmont County Veterans Association at the Heslop Chapel at 12:30pm. Burial to follow at the Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, with Rev. James Hoff officiating.
