John R. Burdine, 49, of Belmont, Ohio, died as the result of an accident at work on December 15, 2022.
He was born February 7, 1973, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Robert W. Burdine and Freda Sawyers Burdine.
John was a roofer for Mansuetto Roofing in Martins Ferry and was a member of the Roofers Local #188 in Wheeling. John enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, especially with his daughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother- in-law, Lyle Bumgardner and a sister- in-law, Rebecca Burdine.
John has been together with his wife, Cara Hughes Burdine for over 29 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Montanna Burdine; two goddaughters, Hannah and Sarah Eikleberry; mother-in-law, Kathy Gianangeli; his siblings, Bob (Tammy) Bailey, Tina Bumgardner, Patty (Rick) Early, and Bud Burdine; special brothers, Pat and Jeff Homan and little Randy Homan; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Preacher Dan Cheatham officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
