JOYCE LANCIONE
Joyce E. Lancione, 80, died on December 24, 2022, in Bluffton, South Carolina. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio, the oldest of five children born to Lawrence Gianangeli and Eileen Gianangeli.
She graduated from Bellaire High School and Belmont Technical College with a degree in nursing. She lived most of her life in Bellaire, Ohio, and moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina with her husband in 2020. Joyce loved to golf and travel. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a wonderful cook, hosting holiday gatherings for her family for many years. Her favorite travel destinations were Italy, Hawaii, and Walt Disney World, which she loved to see at Christmas time.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years; Richard Lancione of Bluffton, South Carolina, her Daughter; Tracey Lloyd (Scott) of St. Clairsville Ohio, and her son; R. Brant Lancione of Martins Ferry, Ohio, her 5 grandchildren; Joshua Lancione, Amanda Lancione, Dustin Lancione, Spencer Lloyd and Zachary Lloyd, and two great-grandchildren, Tyson Lancione and Archie Lancione.
She is also survived by her 4 siblings: Larry Gianangeli (Joyce), Margaret Ann Bizzarri (Greg), Richard Gianangeli (Susan), and Sharon Fleming (Ty), and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her beloved dogs Maverick and Mia, who will be lovingly cared for by her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence Gianangeli and Eileen Gianangeli.
A memorial service will be held on January 6, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Island Funeral Home, at 4 Cardinal Road, Hilton Head Island South Carolina 29926.
