LARRY MCCOY

Larry L. McCoy, 86, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Larry was born Nov. 10, 1936, in Seneca, OH, son of the late Leland and Bessie (Stephen) McCoy.

He was retired from the Timet Corp. in Toronto, OH, with over 40 years in the Receiving Dept.

Larry was a Veteran of the US Army. He was a graduate of Smithfield High School and a member of the Smithfield Christian Church and the Piney Fork American Legion.

Larry leaves behind his two sons, Greig (Jacqueline) McCoy of Smithfield, and Mark (Rhonda) McCoy of Amsterdam, OH; twin brother, Lamont (Esther) McCoy of Smithfield, and brother Buddy McCoy of Dover, OH; six grandchildren, Shai (Tyler) Moore, Colin (Kara) McCoy, Ian (Heidi) McCoy, Cody (Nadine) McCoy, Abbi (Brad) Hughes, and Molly McCoy; nine great- grandchildren, Harper, Hallie, Bennett, Wyatt, Caroline, Max, Aubrey, Colt, and Brody.

Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 5 from 10 am to 12 noon. Larry’s funeral service will follow at noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield. Military Honors will be presented at the funeral home and entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, OH.
