THOMAS OWINGS

He was born in Wheeling, February 13, 1950, a son of the late Irl D. and Virginia M. Bober Owings. He was a 1968 graduate of Seton Central High School and a 1973 graduate of The Ohio State University, majoring in Civil Engineering. Owner Operator of Owings Contracting he was also the Clock Keeper for Union Local Basketball Teams for 30 plus years.

Tom was a member of St Mary’s Catholic Church , St Clairsville.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Linda J, Ruthers Owings; one daughter, Tammy (Nolan Holland) of Cleveland Hts; one son, Thomas S. (Meghan) Owings of Medina, Ohio; two brothers: Kenneth I. Owings of Columbus and Eugene L. Owings of Bentleyville, Pa.seven grandchildren Leora , Sammy, Marshal, Evan and Ruby Owings , Vince and Marcus Holland.

Friends will be received at Warren Funeral Home, Flushing, Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 pm as well as from 10:00 am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St Clairsville with Pastor Tom Chillog the celebrant. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
