ROY MAZZER

He was born April 29, 1928, a son of the late John Mazzer and Theresa Della Gustina Mazzer.

Roy was a retired ceramic tile contractor and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Thoburn United Methodist Church; A Life Member of the American Legion Post 159; the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5356; the Sons of Italy and Lansing Sportsmans Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Berus and Irma Faleschini.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ethel Krotky Mazzer; Pam (Mike) Chase and Patricia (Dave) Gibson; five grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Chase, Bethany (Eric) White, Kaylyn (Michael) Garwood, Alison Gibson and Grant Gibson; eleven great-grandchildren, Alaina, Alex and Eli Chase, Keenan, Rosalie, Adelyn and Brayden White, Elle, Stephen, Samantha and Daniel Garwood; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Eric White and Father Brian Chase officiating. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Buckeye Boys State or the Sons of Italy Scholarship Fund.
