WAYNE “BUZ” BAKER, JR.
Wayne “Buz” Baker Jr., 89, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed peacefully into the loving arms of God on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at his home. He was born May 1933, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, and grew up in Fairpoint, a son of the late Wayne Baker Sr. and Mary Pickana Baker.
Buz retired from United Airlines. He was a Flight Simulator Maintenance Supervisor. He attended E.R.E. Friends Church and served in the US Navy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Donna; two sons, Gary, and John; a sister, Rose Holland; brother, James Baker; brother Paul “Butch” Baker; and a sister Pauline Felix.
He is survived by his daughter Suzyyne, of Barnesville, Ohio; three sisters, Betty Pokerino; Patricia Pike and Geraldine McCraken; one brother, Chet and his wife, Charlene Baker; four granddaughters, Melissa, Heather, Alicia and Heidi; and many great grandchildren.
He loved fishing, hunting, football, his grandchildren and granddogs. He loved working with wood and left behind many works including a house he built in Strasburg, CO.
A memorial service is being planned to be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
