JOEL “JOE” PORTER
Joel “Joe” Edward Porter, 63, of St. Clairsville, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 in his home. He was born in Martins Ferry on July 31, 1959 a son of the late Clyde and Mary (Anderson) Porter. Joel was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church, the St. Clairsville Eagles and retired after 38 years of service from the Ohio Valley Mall were he was the Maintenance Superintendent. He enjoyed camping, playing his guitar, NASCAR, wood working, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Joel is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Peggy (McCardel) Porter; three children, Maura (Darius) Cline, Christopher Cramer and Gretchen (Christopher) McCormick; a brother, James Porter; three sisters, Kathleen (Jim) Meeker, Sharon Lynn Porter and Molly Sue (Michael) Rouse; a sister-in-law, Sharon Porter; five grandchildren, Andrew Lattocha, Aaron (Courtney) Lattocha, William (Abbi) Cramer, Eleanor (Robert) Miller and Benjamin Lucas; and three great grandchildren, Alaina, Eli, and Ayva.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clyde “Chip” Porter, a nephew, Brian David; and a niece Dawn Love.
