MARCELLA EBBERT

She was born March 19, 1940 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late John and Agnes (Csehi) Orban.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Hoppin.

Marcie was a graduate of St. John Central and Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing. After obtaining her nursing degree, she worked at many hospitals and facilities in the area as a registered nurse, eventually retiring from the Belmont County Health Department. She was also an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Benjamin Ebbert, children, Michael Ebbert of Belmont OH, Mary Beth (Kenny) Janiszewski of Florence KY, Marcie Ann (Dennis) Quagliani of Bermuda Dunes CA, and Jill (Jay) Heroux of Warrenton VA., Brother, John Orban, grandchildren Kaylee and Ketler Hoppin, Benjamin, Christopher, Olivia and Emily Quagliani, Trey, Karissa and Kaleb Janiszewski, Alex, Zack and Nick Heroux.

Family and friends will be received at the CARE Funeral and Cremation Specialists 204 West Main Street St. Clairsville, OH 43950 on Tuesday February 28, 2023 for vigil service at 4pm and for visitation from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation will be held again on Wednesday March 1, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral liturgy with mass at 11 a.m. with Father Thomas Chillog as celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Lafferty, Ohio.
