CHARLES KOVOLO

He was born February 1, 1937 in Bellaire Ohio, a son of the late John and Ann (Lawrence) Kovolo.

Charles was a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from Belmont County Schools as a teacher. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir.

Charles also was a member of the Knights of Columbus and volunteered at the Shadyside Care Center.

Surviving are his daughters, Sharon Curnes of Wheeling WV and Karen Kovolo of California, grand- children, Katlyn, Austin and Gavin Curnes.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, OH 43947 on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 6-9pm. Vigil service will be held at 6pm. Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated Friday, March 24, 2023 at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Shadyside. Burial to follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
