DIVAKAR BANGERA
It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the sad news that Dr. Divakar S. Bangera of St. Clairsville, Ohio died on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the age of 86.
Born in India, he graduated from Medical School there and then spent several years in England where he practiced Orthopedic Surgery. He moved to the US in 1977 and became a Family Practice Doctor.
He had an encyclopedic knowledge of history and world affairs as well as many topics that related to the human condition and, yet, still found time to feed his wild birds and enjoy target practice with friends at the Come Shoot Indoors. For almost 40 years, he volunteered for the Martins Ferry High School Purple Riders football team as their Medical Doctor and also served as the Medic for Jamboree in the Hills when it was a full blown music festival enjoyed by many.
Always appreciative of all those to whom he knew he owed so much, he lived a full life and along the way touched the lives of many who will remember him with love and gratitude.
