MARY KOCHER
Mary V. Kocher, age 94, of Canton passed away on March 7, 2023. She was born March 31, 1928 in Armstrongs Mills, Ohio and was preceded in death by her parents, the late Thomas and Emma Sindeldecker (Coffman); beloved husband of 56 years, Newell “Newt” E. Kocher; and her siblings.
Mary is survived by daughter, Connie Burcham of North Canton; sons, Greg (Vicky) Kocher of Canton, and John (Sandra) of Canton; grandchildren, Loree Kocher, Kimberly Casto, Melissa (Jim) Higham, and John (Jenna) Kocher; and great-grandchildren, Landen Casto, Lukas Casto, Lucy Higham, Abigail Higham, Eva Kocher, and Isaac Kocher.
Mary was an independent cosmetologist for twenty-five years. She was a member of Dueber Methodist Church in Canton and its quilting group. She was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her family. Mary was a caregiver and nurturer to her father, mother-in-law, and babysat her grandchildren well into her eighties. Mary’s legacy in her handmade quilts and love she shared will live on through her family as they cherish her memory in years to come.
The family welcomes guests for Calling Hours on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM at the Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel with service beginning at 11AM. Following services, a luncheon will be held at Dueber Methodist Church. A burial service will follow at 2:30PM at Armstrongs Mills Cemetery, Armstrongs Mills, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dueber Methodist Church.
