JEROME AMATO

Jerry was a kind and thoughtful soul who will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.

He was a graduate of Shadyside HS, and of Wheeling College where he earned a BS in Respiratory Care. He began his career in Charleston WV and continued in healthcare serving as CEO, COO, and President of numerous specialty hospitals in Las Vegas, Kansas City, Washington, Plano, and Waterford. Always generous, including with his time, he once served as Secretary and Member at Large of the Waterford Chamber, and on the Board of Directors and as member of the Executive Committee of SAVE, INC. In 2019 he moved to Palm Springs, CA where he was employed by Walmart Corporation.

Jerry was preceded in death by his loving parents James and Angela Amato, and is survived by brothers Joe (Debbie) of Brookside, Jim (Kelly) of Shadyside, nieces and nephews Amy (Mike) Lynn, Matthew (Marisa) Amato, Kala Amato, Jim (Jessica) Amato, Eric (Kayla) Amato, Adam (Sara) Amato, Karlie (Ian) Underation, 13 great nieces and nephews, and his dog, Winston.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wolfhurst, OH, Friday, April 28th at 10 AM, followed by internment at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
