KIMBERLY LANNING
Kimberly “Kim” Sue Lanning, 62, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born on June 7, 1960, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Karen “Sue” Havelka (Frank) and the late Ronald Lanning.
Kim graduated Scott College of Cosmetology in Wheeling, West Virginia, and worked as a stylist until her son, Chad Lanning, was born in 1988.
Kim then dedicated her life to being a mother, providing a home of kindness, humor, support, and love. She was a member of the Cadiz and Zanesville, OH Brain Injury Support Group, where she formed close friendships. Kim enjoyed her time with her dog Molly, word search puzzles, reading, shopping trips, trying new recipes, and time with family and friends. Kim was a great listener, always open to a porch talk and support. She was a generous and brave woman, with a great laugh and smile.
Kim is survived by her loving family, son Chad (Kaytlyn) Lanning of St. Clairsville, OH, parents Sue and Frank Havelka of St. Clairsville, OH, and siblings Judy (Steve) Lanning of Wheeling, WV, Ronald Lanning of Washington, PA, Marcy (Bryan) Krupinski of Wheeling, WV, Michael (Cheryle) Lanning of Bellaire, OH, Michelle (Pat) Noland of Paso Robles, CA, Doug (Catherine) Havelka of Cincinnati, OH, Lori (Allen) Pinkerton of St. Clairsville, OH and Amy (Paul) Mock of Deltona, FL, and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
