ALICE BENNETT
Alice Marie Bennett, 87, received her graduation to God’s eternal glory on May 17, 2023 at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on June 17, 1935, in Martins Ferry, OH, to Fred J. Bennett and Henriette (Roberts) Bennett. She was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School, class of 1953.
Alice was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brookside. Locally, she was an employee of Bond Bakery, Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel main office and the United States Postal Service in Wheeling before transferring to the postal service in Shallotte, North Carolina where she worked until her retirement. She was a resident of Myrtle Beach well over 30 years until the time of her passing.
She is survived by her brother Fred (Judy) Bennett and his family along with several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion of many years, Mary McCoy.
At Alice’s request there will be no services. Arrangements are being cared for by Myrtle Beach Funeral and Cremation Services, with interment at Holly Memorial Gardens in Colerain OH. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Brookside.
