MICHAEL COYNE

Mike was born on June 29th, 1958, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. The son of Robert Coyne and Sarah Shepherd Coyne.

Mike was a retired Columbia Gas employee and proud UWUA member for 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shadyside Ohio.

He enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by two brothers, George Coyne and Robert Coyne.

Surviving are his wife Jane (Bumgardner) Coyne, whom he married on August 13th 1983. Son, Michael and wife Jenna (Johnson) Coyne of Shadyside OH, daughter, Caitlin (Coyne) and husband Chris Volpini of Pittsburgh PA, daughter, Courtney Coyne and husband Andrew Bodine of Chicago, IL. His three beautiful granddaughters, Quinn Jane, Kori Lynne, and Kami Jay. Four sisters, Barbara Schramm, Patricia (David) Perkowski, Missy (Rick) Mager, Peggy Kunik, and one brother, Denny (Susie) Coyne.

Mike was a proud husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother -in-law, uncle, friend and stranger.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Bauknecht Altmeyer Funeral Home in Shadyside on Thursday, May 18th from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Memorial Service starting at 6 p.m. with Father Dan Heusel as celebrant.
