JEAN OBOY
Lucy Jean Oboy, 84, of Maynard, OH passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Trinity Hospital West, Steubenville, OH. Jean was born July 3, 1938 in Maynard, a daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Kafka Dundr, Sr.
Jean was retired from Belmont County Department of Health and Family Services, a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Maynard PNA and a special caregiver to her brother, “Buddy”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Oboy in 2021; a sister, Barbara Ann Dundr.
Surviving are a brother, Elmer “Bud” Dundr, Jr of St. Clairsville; brothers-in-law, Joseph Oboy of Maynard and Jim Lukacsko of Fairpoint, OH; sisters-in-law, Stella Zavacky of Midway and Ellen Oboy of Bellaire, OH; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with a vigil service at 4 pm and a PNA service to follow.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Colerain, OH with Fr. Thomas Chillog as celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.
