MARTHA SHUTLER
Martha Jean Shutler 94, of Ravena formerly of Martins Ferry, passed away Thursday June 29, 2023, at the home of her daughter. She was born July 5, 1928, in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late Perry B. and Mabel Grace (Scammel) Conway.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church Martins Ferry, a graduate of Bridge- port High School class of 1946, she loved flowers and gardening, and her children grand- children and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Edmund L. Shutler Sr. in 1999.
Martha is survived by her children Edmund L. (Vickie) Shutler Jr. of Bridgeport, Elizabeth (Rex) Bennington of Ravenna, 5 grandchildren Zac (Kora) Shutler, Josh (Shay) Shutler, Ben (Brooke) Shutler, Dustin (Andrea) Bennington, and Larissa Bennington, 8 great grandchildren Christian, Cooper, Luke, Leah, Hunter, Bentley, Lily, and Isabelle, also several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home Heslop Chapel 415 Walnut St. Martins Ferry on Monday July 3, 3023, from 10 am till time of Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 12 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Martins Ferry, with Fr. Tom Marut as celebrant, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
