Rosemary Ann Zelipsky Bonial A Remarkable Woman, A Treasured Wife, and A Loved Mother
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosemary Ann Zelipsky Bonial will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Ball, La with Reverend Ricky Gremillion officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Pineville.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Pineville, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will resume on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until shortly before time of service.
Rosemary was born on September 30, 1939 in Bellaire, Ohio to the proud parents of Anthony Zelipsky (Slovak Ancestry) and Elizabeth Dobos (Hungarian Ancestry) Zelipsky. She was their first of three girls, Antoinette and Elizabeth completed the family. She is a 1957 graduate of Bellaire High School, and a 1960 graduate of Ohio University. She has 42 years in Education, having taught in Kenosha Wisconsin, Heilbronn Germany, Fort Sill Oklahoma, Bellaire Ohio, Baton Rouge and Alexandria Louisiana. She earned a Specialist in Education, E.Ds., from Northwestern State University on June 1, 1972, and served as a supervisor in Bellaire and Alexandria. She is married to Edwin Bonial, whom she met while teaching in Germany. The couple was married on June 11, 1966, and have one daughter, Hilary, born on January 13, 1971, while the couple were attending NSU graduate school. Rosemary retired from Rapides Parish Schools in 2003 as Principal of Mabel Brasher. After retirement, the couple traveled back to Germany in 2006 to celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary and connect with distance relatives in Hungary and Slovakia. Rosemary often served as Lecture at the Saturday, 4:00 Mass. Until their move in 2019, for health reasons, and to be near their daughter, the couple moved to Frisco, Texas, the couple lived in Pineville, Louisiana. Rosemary quietly joined her savior on June 10, 2023, 1 day shy of her 57th Anniversary. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Edwin Bonial, Daughter Hilary, Daughter-in- Law Jenny, Grandson Brayden, Sisters Antoinette and Elizabeth. She is preceded by her parents, Anthony Zelipsky and Elizabeth Dobos.
