EARNEST BLUTHARDT
Earnest Albert Bluthardt, 86, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Sienna Hills Nursing Home. He was born on September 19, 1936, in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Carl Albert and Martha (Winzenreid) Bluthardt. Ernest was Christian by faith, served his country in the U.S. Army in South Korea, was employed as an auto mechanic for many years and enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling especially to Florida.
He is survived by a sister, Audrey Bluthardt; a brother, Thomas Bluthardt; a niece, Carla (John) Lambert and a nephew, Thomas Bluthardt.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Mitchell Bluthardt; and a brother, John Bluthardt.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 1 pm in Weeks Cemetery, officiated by Pastor James Hoff. Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
