MARILYN WILLIAMS

She was born on November 14, 1952, in Bellaire, OH, daughter of the late Walter “Hoot” Gibson and her surviving mother, Janet Rae (Kriechbaum) Gibson from Powhatan Point, OH.

Marilyn was a graduate of River High School, class of 1971. She went on to pursue a nursing degree from Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in 1975. Marilyn worked as a registered nurse for 42 years at Ohio Valley Medical Center.

She was a dedicated nurse, who was considered a role model by many. In her personal life and work, she was selfless and would do anything for anyone. Marilyn had a contagious laugh and smile. Marilyn was a wonderful listener who was never judgmental and always provided support during difficult times. Her caring nature was a blessing to all, and her love and affection was the glue that kept her family together through good times, as well as the difficult ones. She loved her family and friends dearly along with her beloved pets and the Lord.

In addition to her mother, Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Chuck O. Williams; 2 daughters, Kristen M. Walton & Tiffany L. Williams both of Wheeling, WV; grandson, Dylan R. Walton; sister, Carleen (Scott) Neeper of Waco, TX; and many nieces & nephews located throughout the Ohio Valley and Texas.

Family and friends will gather for memorial visitation on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 2 PM until the time of the memorial service at 4 PM located at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (#304- 242-2311) with Reverend Jake Steele officiating.
