ALICE RILEY
Alice A. Riley, 93, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday August 9, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 28, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Wilmer and Mable (Snodgrass)Welshans.
She was a retired employee of the former Stone and Thomas Department Store in St. Clairsville and attended the Friends Church in Mt. Pleasant where she was dedicated into her cradle roll. Alice had a passion for baking, cooking, flowers and especially her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband James Riley in 1980, a grandson Alijah David, siblings Franklin, George, and Charles Welshans, Lula Loper, and Rosalie DeAnglis.
Alice is survived by her children James A. Riley and Timmy (Terri) Riley, Carolyn (Ray) Crossland and Candice Riley Anderson, all of Mt. Pleasant, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, and her lifelong best friend Becky Wojchowski of Mt. Pleasant, also several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale on Sunday August 13, 2023, from 12-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Monday at 11 am with Pastor Thomas Schrader officiating, interment in Highland Cemetery Mt. Pleasant.
