FRANK SPRINGHETTI

Frank R. Springhetti, 83, of Pleasantville, Ohio, passed away on July 29, 2023, surrounded by family. Frank was born April 16, 1940, to the late Frank V. and Mary (Frollini) Springhetti in Lafferty, Ohio.

He attended Lafferty Schools where he excelled in basketball, football and baseball, and met his sweetheart Deanna Bizzarri. After graduation in 1957, he took his talents to Ohio University and the basketball team before committing to a life of service. He was a decorated United States Air Force KC-135 boom operator in Vietnam and received the Distinguished Flying Cross and other awards. He retired as a SMSgt after tours around the world. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years and was remembered for walking his route. Frank was known for hard work, a discerning sweet tooth, a winning casino strategy, and fierce pride and support for his family.

Frank is predeceased by his parents Frank V. and Mary and brother Gerald Springhetti.

He is survived by wife of 64 years Deanna, children Valerie (Ray) Roush, Lori (Mike) Sanders, Mark (Carina) Springhetti, and Blake (Ember Montunnas) Springhetti. He is also survived by his grandchildren Sarah (Bill) Falk, Ashley (Jon) Kuhner, Shane Roush, Matt Sanders, Ryan (Melissa Jeffries) Kostelnik, Audrey (Daniel Oostenberg) Sanders, Blake (Kaela Smith) Springhetti, Krister Springhetti, Tomas Springhetti, Sal Springhetti and Ella Springhetti. He was delighted by his great grandchildren–Adelina, Henry, Frankie, Arabella, JJ, Cash, Billie, Alani, Serenity, and Vincent. He is also survived by brother Robert Springhetti, aunt Helen Frollini, special sisters- and brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time friend James Calovini.

The viewing will be at Dwayne Spence Pickerington on Saturday August 12, from 11:00-12:00, followed by a service at 12:00-1:00. Reception to follow at 1:30 at the American Legion Post 283 Pickerington.
