DALE INGOLD

Dale Patrick Ingold, a proud army veteran and accomplished mechanical engineer, passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 75. He was born on December 5, 1947, in Wadsworth, Ohio, and his journey came to a peaceful end in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dale served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973, bravely dedicating himself to his country. After his military service, he pursued higher education and graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering. Dale’s professional achievements were admirable, and he took great pride in his work.

Aside from his career, Dale was an active member of various organizations and communities. He was a devoted Lay speaker who led worship, sharing his faith with others. Dale had a remarkable ability to connect with people everywhere he went; he never met a stranger. His unique sense of humor, kindness, upbeat attitude, and personal charm made him an unforgettable presence in the lives of those who knew him.

Dale was a valued member of several organizations, including Moriah Lodge #105, Amity Methodist Church, and American Legion Saner Post 228. These affiliations brought him great joy.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Veronica (Paige) Ingold; his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Russ Woda; and his brother, Paul M. Ingold. He leaves behind a loving wife, Marsha Ingold, who will forever cherish their memories together. Dale is also survived by his son, Curt (Tawn) Ingold, and his best friend and grandson, Patrick Ingold, who affectionately called him “Jedda.” Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Eleanor (Tom) Simons, brother-in-law William Bier, four nephews, one niece, and several great nephews and nieces. Dale’s family and friends will forever remember him with love and admiration.

Services honoring Dale’s life will take place as follows: Friends and Family are invited to the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 10 a.m. until noon at 186 Main Street in Powhatan Point, Ohio. A graveside service, led by Rex Schirm, will follow immediately after, with full military honors provided by the American Legion Saner Post 228.

Dale brought warmth, laughter and kindness into the lives of those he touched. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his unwavering spirit and genuine love for others. May he rest in eternal peace.
