JONETTE LAZASZ

She was born on November 16, 1949, at Ohio Valley General Hospital in Wheeling, WV. Daughter of the late John Pak Jr. and Irene (Barbaley) Pak of Rayland, Ohio.

On June 17, 1967, Jonette married the love of her life, Richard l. Lazasz, and spent the next 56 years making memories with their children Jodie L. (Lazasz) Burnett (Jim Burnett) of St Clarisville, Ohio and Rick L Lazasz (Colleen Kelley-Lazasz) of Perkasie, PA, along with their seven grandchildren, Joshua D. Stewart, Jakob P. Stewart (Ciara Stewart), Logan K. Lazasz, Jeb M. Stewart, Jenna C. Stewart, Mason K. Lazasz, Ashlin K. Lazasz and great- grandson, Emmett P Stewart.

Her life revolved around her grandchildren. Anyone that meet “Gim” know all about her grandchildren and how proud she was of them.

Jonette graduated from Warren Consolidated in 1968, attending the Martins Ferry Vocation School for Cosmetology. She opened her own salon in 1974, then decided to go into insurance in her later years. The past 23 years she was an insurance broker with Schwendeman Agency out of Marietta, Ohio.

Her family always asked her to retire but could never find the right moment to say good-bye to her clients.

She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Yorkville, Ohio, a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tiltonsville, Ohio, and spent many years with her high school friends organizing their class unions for Warren Consolidated.

Friends will be received to pay tribute to Jonette and celebrate her life on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 2-8 p.m., at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., from the funeral home, with Father Dan Heusel officiating.
