RUSS JONES
Jones, Russell Wallace, 89, of Lebanon, died peacefully Tuesday, September 19, 2023, with his daughters by his side. Russ was born to Daniel and Dolores Jones on December 4, 1933, in West Wheeling, Ohio. He was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and loved attending their reunions.
Russ was married for 58 years to the love of his life, Rosalie, who preceded him in death in 2020.
They had a beautiful life together – raising their children, traveling together, and enjoying life.
Russ was an adored father, always present for his daughters and grandchildren, telling hilarious stories of his younger days and singing and smiling through all of life’s adventures.
Before retiring, Russ had a long career at Cincinnati Milacron. He was also a long-time member of the Westside Church of Christ where he sang with the choir (and performed his first solo earlier this year).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie, and their daughter, Valerie (Dennis) Conn.
Russ is survived by his daughters, Heidi (Graham) Bale & Diana Jones, four grand- children — Kyle (Hannah) Bale, Erin (Cody) Kirby, Hannah Conn (Kyle) Negangard, Jordan (Rachel) Conn, and many nieces and nephews.
At Russ’s request, no service will be held, but please share your happy stories of him or sing a song in his memory.
