SHERRY McMILLAN
Sherry L McMillan, 69, of Dillonvale, Ohio, died on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the home of her daughter in New Kensington, PA. Sherry was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on July 22, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Henry D and Anna Marie (Long) Fetty. Sherry was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph E McMillan, and her sister, Donna D Fetty.
Sherry loved being outdoors and took great pride in caring for her yard, flowers and garden. Her day didn’t start until she had her morning cappuccino. Sherry had a great sense of humor and an undercurrent of sarcasm that could make anyone laugh. She always put the needs of her family and friends first, and could be counted on to help anyone in need. Sherry was also quite hard headed and set in her ways, and as her physical health declined, she wasn’t as able to do things for herself, she tended to refuse offers of help from those that she helped.
Sherry formed beautiful friendships with her neighbors and others in her community. She found powerful friendships and love online when her physical health didn’t allow her to get out so much. Those relationships, both local and long distance, were so important to her. She will be greatly missed by friends that became family, and family that became friends over the years.
Sherry will be very much missed by her daughter, Debbi Jo, her daughter-in-law, Tresa, and her grand-puppies, Lucy and Linus.
