TOM BROWN

Tom Brown, 58, of Shadyside passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 11, 1964 in Bellaire, OH a son of Hope Ellen (Dunlap) Underwood and the late Marvin Duane Brown

Tom was the owner and operator of Raze International. Tom’s commitment to community service shone brightly through his involvement with organizations like Sons of the Legion and Powhatan VFW, where he selflessly gave his time and energy to support causes close to his heart.

Tom was also a former member of the Shadyside Local School District Board of Education. Additionally, Tom’s love for sports led him to coach softball, where he not only taught the game but also imparted valuable life lessons to his players.

When he wasn’t coaching or involved in his various organizations, he enjoyed hunting, golfing, cheering on the Cleveland Browns, and especially pointless road trips. He loved following his girls to tournaments and games, and finally watching Gentry achieve her dream of playing Division 1 Volleyball while Riley attends her dream University.

Surviving are his wife, Debra (Croft) Brown, children, Riley Brown, Gentry Brown, Derrick Wood and Alexis McLeod, brothers Mike Brown and Chris Brown, granddaughter Novalee McLeod, several nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, OH 43947 on Friday October 13, 2023 from 3pm-8pm and again on Saturday from 10am until time of services at Noon. Interment will immediately follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
