DONNA SHUBAT

She was born on June 19, 1933, in Youngstown, Ohio to late Russell Hicks and was raised by her grandparents Addie and Amos Hicks.

She served as Precinct Committeeman and Secretary of the Belmont County Democratic Party for many years. She was elected to the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center where she served on the board. She ran the Deputy Registrar office in Bellaire for numerous years. She was also a member of Order Of The Eastern Star Of Ohio 489 Captina Chapter, within the Eastern Star she received her 50 year pin.

Donna was a former member of Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church and South Bellaire Global Methodist Church. She served many offices at South Bellaire and taught Sunday School. In her later years, she attended Killbuck Global Methodist Church.

In addition to her father and grandparents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William A. Shubat and her son, William F. Shubat.

She leaves behind her loving daughters, Sherry (Allan) Artman of Millersburg and Barbara J. (Joe) Kindt of Bellville; her grandchildren, Shane (Wendy) Artman, Chantele (Jeff) Mack, Jacob (Anna) Kindt and Caleb (Lexe) Kindt. Donna was also blessed with twelve great-grandchildren whom she adored.

Family and friends are to be received at the Bauknecht-Alt meyer Funeral Home 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio 43906 on Friday from 4pm-8pm with Eastern Star Service and on Saturday from 10am until time of funeral service at 11am. Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park, 52900 High Ridge Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
