MICHAEL MELLOTT

Michael, known by his family and friends as “Big Mike”, was born on January 27, 1944 in Bellaire, OH, the son of the late Clyde and Eileen Mellott. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Bellaire Masonic Lodge #398, and retired from IronWorkers Local #549 in Wheeling, WV, after 35 years of service, where he also served as President for two consecutive terms. His work ethic and dedication was admired by all who knew him.

Mike enjoyed restoring antique cars, building model airplanes, time with family, and the simple joy of eating black licorice. He also enjoyed spending winters in Okeechobee, Florida, where he also had many friends.

Mike leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Henrietta (Pushie) Mellott, his two sons Michael Mellott and David Mellott, his grandchildren: Samuel Mellott, Courtney Smith, Lacole Mellott, and Clyde Mellott, and his great grandchildren: Colten and Logan Mellott, and Chase and Chloe Smith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be missed dearly and will remain forever in our hearts.
