Agnes M. Pugh, 92, of Powhatan Point, Ohio passed away on December 11, 2023, at WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

She was born on July 8, 1931, in Powhatan Point, Ohio, to the late John Prystasz and Mary (Dwornek) Prystasz.

Agnes’ main purpose and passion in life was her family. Professionally, she enjoyed interacting and working with the public in her various professional positions. Outside of her professional career, Agnes found joy in various hobbies and interests. She had a deep love for flowers, gardening, and painting. This love was evident when looking at the beautiful flowers that surrounded her home. Agnes also enjoyed spending time outdoors, water skiing, refinishing furniture, and engaging in many projects. Agnes was a Presbyterian by faith. She lived life to the fullest and made the best day out of every single day.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Pugh; siblings, Andrew, Mike, and John Prystasz, Anna May Litwin, and Josephine Rothermund.

She is survived by her children, Cliff (Keith) Pugh of Clearwater, FL, David (Kimberly) Pugh of Powhatan Pt, OH, and Ed (Angie) Pugh of Scott Depot, WV. She was a proud grandmother to Lauren (Josh) Potts, Dallas (Britney) Pugh, Vanessa (Lance) Ervin, Tori (Warren) Friend. Agnes also adored her great-grandchildren, Jackson and Houston Pugh, Sidney and Maggie Ervin, and Cooper Friend.

Friends and family will be received at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point, OH 43942 on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 11a.m. to the time of service at 1:00pm. Interment to follow immediately in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, OH.
