DALE LOUDA
Dale Andrew Louda, Sr., 82, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away on Dec. 22, 2023, at Reynolds Memorial Hospital-WVU Medicine in Glen Dale, West Virginia. He was born on Oct. 1, 1941, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son to the late Henry and Edna (Noble) Louda, Sr.
Dale dedicated many years of his life to his career as a Conductor with CSX Railroad until his retirement. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethics and commitment to safety.
Outside of his professional life, Dale proudly served in the United States Navy. Dale was a 57 continuous years member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Ohio Valley Elks No. 231 and a member of the Sons of Italy, Lodge 754 in Bellaire, Ohio, where he laughed and loved volunteering with friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Joann Bizzarri, Shirley Bloom, Phyllis Bratt, Roberta Jokovich and Henry Louda, Jr.
Dale will be deeply missed by his loving and faithful wife, Irene Mosconi Louda, his son, Dale Louda, Jr., his cherished grandchildren, Andrew and Ellis Louda, sisters-in-law, Linda Coulombe, Karen Louda, brother-in-law, William Mosconi, cousin, Frank Noble and numerous nieces and nephews.
Full military honors by the Belmont County Veterans will begin at 10:45 a.m. followed by a memorial mass to celebrate Dale’s life at St. John’s Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 29, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Daniel Heusel as celebrant. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists, located at 204 W. Main Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
There will be a reception to follow at the Sons of Italy in Bellaire, Ohio to share memories, love and laughter of Dale. Everyone is welcome to attend.
