DORIS MILLER

She was born August 28, 1928, in Wheeling, WV to the late Howard and Opal Hissom Hubbard.

Doris was a retired cashier, a member of the Sardis Methodist Church, and former member of Sardis Community Club. She loved her family and her community dearly, she was fondly remembered for her friendly greetings to countless shoppers at the Sardis IGA and her fondness for planting beautiful flowers at her home on Marietta Street for almost 70 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior T. Miller, and a brother, Buford Hubbard.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Alvin) Thompson of Woodsfield, OH; 2 grandchildren, Neil (Melissa) Thompson of Plain City, OH and Jared Thompson of Wheeling, WV; two great granddaughters, Emma and Leah Thompson; a sister, Lavina Nuzum of Sardis, OH; 4 step grandchildren, Marsha Keevert, Christina Thompson, Deanna Wilhelm and Rebecca (Andrew) Copley; and 7 step great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Grisell Funeral Home, 37234 Mound Street, Sardis, OH where services will be held Friday at 11:00 am with Jim Miller officiating.

Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery, Sardis, OH.
