RAYMOND DORSEY, JR.
Raymond William “Bill” Dorsey, Jr, 90, of Martins Ferry, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling. He was born October 23, 1933, the son of the late Raymond W. and Beulah (Goodwin) Dorsey, Sr., in Martins Ferry Ohio.
Bill was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company in the shipping department. He attended Ohio University, was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving his country in Germany during the Korean War, a member of the Martins Ferry Athletic Hall of Fame, and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Elks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life his wife, Nancy (Redinger) Dorsey in 2005.
Left to cherish his memory is his children, Michael Dorsey of Columbus and Diane Dorsey of German Village of Columbus, grandchildren, Taylor, Caley, Cole, and Reese Dorsey and 2 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes all services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Wilson Funeral Home — Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio, 43935 is assisting the family.
