SANTO CERMINARA

Santo “Pete” Cerminara, 85, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023 surrounded by his two sons and daughter in Lebanon, PA. He was born on June 29, 1938, a son to the late Joseph and Maria (Fabiano) Cerminara.

Pete was born in Savelli, Italy and emigrated with his family to the United States in 1956. Pete was a coal miner and a construction worker. He later owned a restaurant in Barnesville, “Mama Mia’s Pizzeria,” where he loved working side by side with his late, beloved wife, Mary Ann. He was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Barnesville. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, boating, fishing, gardening and especially cooking. He loved cooking for and spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Cerminara; and brothers, Tony Cerminara and Frank Cerminara.

Left to cherish his memory are children, Craig (Nagore), Perry (Tisa) Cerminara, Nichole Toriello; grandchildren, Joseph and Jordan Cerminara, and Paige DeLong and Gianna Toriello; siblings, Clara Cerminara, Phyllis (Fiore) Evangelista, Emilio Cerminara, Susan Cerminara, Angelo (Jody) Cerminara.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial visitation on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 5-8pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Barnesville Chapel, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713 with a Vigil Service at 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10am at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Barnesville with Father Dave Cornett as presider. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.
