SHIRLEY McCARTHY
Shirley Jane McCarthy, 72, of Bethesda, Ohio, died November 25, 2023, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV.
She was born November 8, 1951, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Tersa Brookover Kinsey.
Shirley was a homemaker and a member of the Lafferty Moose Lodge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McCarthy; two sisters, Betty Hoover, and Patricia Smith; and seven brothers, John Brookover, Gary, Glen, Robert, Stanley, Louis, and George Kinsey Jr.
Shirley is survived by two sons, Andrew Piambo and Jason McCarthy; a brother, Frank (Janet) Kinsey; a special niece, Darlene Moore; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Shirley’s wishes, there will be no public services. A private graveside service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV, will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
